The series' fan-familiar match types and battle modes are included, although some have been revamped. The King of Iron Fist Tournament brings 40 contenders into the fray this time around, with mainstays such as Jin, King, Anna, Law, Phoenix, and Heihachi, as well as six newcomers, including the jet-pack enabled Alisa Bosconovitch, the veteran warrior Lars Alexandersson, and the obese but impossibly quick American karate champion known as Bob. Custom fighters can be created and taken online for versus matches, and new equipment and other items can be earned by completing objectives in the mysterious Tower of Lost Souls.Tekken 6 features enhanced graphics, destructible environments, online features, and the series' largest character roster to date. Play modes include Story, Arcade, Training, and Active Matching Battle, an endurance-type match that challenges players to defeat as many enemies as possible. Characters also wear destructible armor, which can shatter during fights to expose vulnerable areas. Characters will challenge each other in an assortment of exotic locales while mastering new techniques in combat. The one-on-one fighting system now features critical finishing moves, allowing players to initiate devastating, cinematic coups de grâce to weakened opponents. Familiar fighters from previous Soul Calibur games are joined by several newcomers, including Hilde, Scheherazade, Angol Fear, and even Darth Vader from the Star Wars universe. A special tournament with a mystical prize has drawn combatants from across the galaxy. Namco Bandai's weapons-based fighting series, Soul Calibur IV features new characters, environments, and play modes in this fast-paced brawler. "I do not know if I think Yoshimitsu is good or bad"Īnd justifying why I think he isn't good.Soul Calibur IV/Tekken 6 combines two popular fighting games into a single budget-minded package. But even so, it doesn't mean he doesn't stand a chance, he makes up for this with his mixups, OKI and unpredictability.Īnyway, I'm just replying to this post by Forest:: That's why you need more effort when using him. It's still good nontheless.Īgain, He is bad when you compare his basic tools with other chars. But you have to be in NSS for that to work and they have to be close enough for NSS flash to hit, even if it reaches farther than 1SS flash. When did I say that when I use it it gets crushed all the time? Please don't factor in my level of play when discussing T_T. I always use it as a tech catch BTW so that it doesn't get crushed. I also did not say its too slow, I just said its easily crushable on reaction when used in the open. IMO its a great move, but its just that I think people give it too much credit. I DID NOT SAY that the unblockable low was bad. It onlyrequires a simple one or two move tweak like hwoarangs' u/f+3+4 that make the characters come alive Back in the tag days if it was jin/kaz vs jin/devil the matches will go in the obvious direction but if you have jin/kaz vs jin/hwoarang the matches transform into something completely different> hopefully namco will truly balance tekken tag2 so all characters are equally represented. I hope that alot of the tekken tag 2 players will pick a weak sidekick to bring a different spin to the matches. This is the reason why the majority is not used to these low tier characters. So you are not exposed to the move list/punishment of these characters. The majority of tekken viewers only watch the most popular and respected match videos to learn the best strategies (usually ldmaxi/crash vids) but the high level matches almostnever have the low tiers such as yoshi/zafina/wang etc. He is a very low profile character indeed. The thing about yoshimitsu is that you may be throwing out bunch of punishable moves but no one really knows how to punish yoshis stuff.
